On Thursday January 24, the Music Center hosted the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission's Corporate Advisory Committee and the Los Angeles Diversity Workgroup for a breakfast meeting with over 125 business, government and community leaders for a presentation by Anna Y. Park, Esq., Regional Attorney from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ms. Park shared recent trends in EEO law by highlighting past and pending discrimination cases that the EEOC has brought against employers, both small businesses and corporations.

Ms. Park is a graduate of UCLA Law School and heads the legal staff of one of the largest EEOC offices in the U.S., covering Southern California, Central California, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, and the Mariana Islands, and handling complaints of employment discrimination under federal law based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, age, and disability.

The Corporate Advisory Committee (CAC) is comprised of member companies and works with the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission to address diversity issues and to promote multicultural awareness in the workplace. The CAC is led by co-Chairs Gerald Alcantar of Fox/News Corporation and Ed Robinson of Southern California Edison.
