What You Can Do to Help

We would be delighted to communicate with you about helping to promote human relations work in Los Angeles County. There are many opportunities. You may, for example, want to volunteer some time to help in our office on West Sixth. Or you may want to explore opportunities in your own neighborhood.

You might want to consider helping with the programming in your local library, or parks and recreations site, or senior citizens’ center. Another possibility is that you could participate in our Network Against Hate Crime that brings together people from a variety of experiences and organizations to discuss prevention of, and education about, hate crime activity.

If you would like to send a tax-deductible donation to help with costs of the work of the Commission, please make your check out to “John Anson Ford Trust Fund” and mail it c/o Robin Toma to 3175 West Sixth Street, Los Angeles, CA 90020.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss any of these opportunities. You may reach us by using the ‘Contact Us’ link at the top of this page to send us an email message. Or, if you prefer, you may call us at (213) 738-2788.
